Yoga in the Gardens

The Elizabethan Gardens is a beautiful place to begin your day with yoga. Instructor Chelsea Quattrone teaches Yoga on the Great Lawn at 9:30am. The 90 minute class is open to the general public for a fee of $15.00 per person Non-Members and $8.00 for Members. Participants can arrive as early as 9:00am for the 9:30am class. Classes run each Wednesday June 7- Aug. 16 and is subject to weather-related cancellations.

(In case of weather, yoga may be held inside Odom Hall.)

THRIVE: Manners Day Camp (Morning Session)

Sign up today to join an empowering manners and social skills two-day workshop for ages 7 to 12 at The Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo NC.

Buy TicketsYou may choose from two morning or two afternoon sessions. Each session lasts 4 hours. The final session on day two features students practicing the skills they learned during a three-course meal: lunch for morning session, dinner for afternoon session.

Manners are more important than ever, and when practiced will help your children be more successful socially and later professionally. These entertaining and interactive  sessions will teach your children essential manners and important social skills to help them be confident and comfortable in any situation. Classes include role plays, discussion, hands-on activities, manners-related crafts and games.

Topics include:

  • Making a Great First and Lasting Impression (posture, confidence, handshakes, eye contact, grooming and attire)
  • Manners Outside the Home (courtesy in public places, sportsmanship and friendships)
  • Digital Diplomacy (email and phone manners, social media dos and don’ts)
  • Parties and Social Events (invitations and replies, host and guest dos and don’ts, conversation skills, gift giving and receiving, thank you notes, remembering names)
  • Table Manners (navigating the place setting, napkin dos and don’ts, eating difficult foods, using utensils and chopsticks, conversation and polite dining)

Tuition: $120 per child  for not-yet members, $100 for members. (includes snacks, certificate of completion, handouts and final session meal) Open to ages 7 to 12. Space is limited to 15 .  Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received 10 days before July 18 are 100% refundable. Cancellations received less than ten days before then are not refundable. The Elizabethan Gardens is located adjacent to The Lost Colony's Waterside Theatre and Fort Raleigh National Historic Park on Roanoke Island nestled near North Carolina's Outer Banks. The gardens are open year-round, seven days a week except certain holidays.
