Great Lawn Beds- “Spring Annuals, Part II: Setting Up Beds” $15 for members. $30 for not-yet members. Limited to 8 participants. This workshop is a continuation of the workshop offered on March 11, 2017. We will be cutting, laying out, and installing the annual/perennial beds around the Great Lawn. This will be a discussion on techniques as well as hands on experience. Limited to 8 participants. 11:00am – Welcome Dare County Animal Drug Dog to Demonstrate how to handle your dog and deal with aggressive dogs

12:30pm Doggie Parade – come sign up and introduce you and your dog. Chance to see and meet a variety of dog breeds on the Outer Banks!

Compost is organic matter that has been decomposed and recycled as a fertilizer and soil amendment. Compost is the most important component in organic farming. We will discuss the dos and don’ts of setting up your own composting area and its benefits in the garden. Come join us at The Elizabethan Gardens for this hands on discussion. The Elizabethan Gardens is located adjacent to The Lost Colony's Waterside Theatre and Fort Raleigh National Historic Park on Roanoke Island nestled near North Carolina's Outer Banks. The gardens are open year-round, seven days a week except certain holidays.
