Easter Eggstravaganza- a Springtide Tradition in The Gardens.

How many eggs can you find? During our annual Easter Eggstravaganza, one can find over 10,000 colorful eggs on-hand for skilled hunters to seek.

And what could be more picture-perfect than spring blooms, green grass and Easter eggs on the Great Lawn for this popular event? Make plans to hop over to The Gardens from and join in the springtide fun.

But hold on to your Easter bonnets, there are more than just eggs at this classic event! This Outer Banks tradition has been known to include: games, live bunnies, crafts, and delicious homemade goodies – as well as egg rolls, an Easter bonnet/hat contest, story time, educational games, and plenty of kid-friendly fun.

And grown-ups can hunt for savings too, at the Easter Egg Hunt Sale that happens in The Gardens Gift Shop during the Eggstravaganza. Specially-priced plants will be tagged for the sale.

Garden members are admitted free to Easter Eggstravaganza, standard admission applies to non-members. Children under five will be admitted free when accompanied by an adult. For more information contact The Elizabethan Gardens at 252-473-3234.

OUTER BANKS BUSINESSES

Come join the fun and have a chance to expose your business or non-profits to families on the Outer Banks.

The Gardens is looking for business and non-profits that would like to connect with the public. Come decorate a table in the Easter theme and share your message with over 1,000 guests. We will supply 10,000 Easter eggs for the businesses to give out for an egg scavenger hunt. Compete to win a free rental of The Elizabethan Gardens good for up to a year. Prize goes to the winner of the best Easter decorated table.

The fee is $15.00 and the Gardens will provides a 6 ft’ rectangular table, tablecloth, two chairs and lunch for two individuals.

The Elizabethan Gardens is located adjacent to The Lost Colony's Waterside Theatre and Fort Raleigh National Historic Park on Roanoke Island nestled near North Carolina's Outer Banks. The gardens are open year-round, seven days a week.
