We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the memory of the lost colonists of Roanoke Island. Primary operating funds come from admissions, donations and sales of plants and gifts. We thank you for your support and hope you enjoy our ever-changing tapestry of beauty.

Admission Prices

Adults (18+ years)………….. $8

Youth (6-17 years)…………… $5

Children (under five)………. FREE

Groups of 20+ ……………… $1.00 off individual admission, visit our tour page.

WinterLights Admission and Extended Hours:

Lights, floral delights and holiday sights that are part of a nineteen night spectacle called WinterLights running December 6-10, 13-17, 20-23, 27-30 from 6 – 9 pm.

Grand Illumination:  Non-Members: $14 for adult (18 +), youth $9 (6 – 17 years) and children $6 (5 and under). Members: $10 for adult (18 +), youth $7 (6 – 17 years) and children are $4 (5 and under). Groups of 20 or more receive $1.00 off each ticket.

WinterLights:  Non-Members: $9 for an adult (18 years and older), youth $7 (6 – 17 years) and children $4 (5 and under). Members: $8 for an adult (18 years and older), youth $6 (6 – 17 years) and children $3 (5 and under). Groups of 20 or more receive $1.00 off each ticket.

WinterDays ad Winter Lights Pass:  Buy a pass and enjoy The Gardens during the day and night for one price. Pass is good for the whole month of December. Tickets for Members are: $10 for Adults; $8 for youth (ages 6-17); $5 for children (5 and younger). For Non-members: $11 for Adults; $9 for youth (ages 6-17); $5 for children.

Tour Group Information

• Reservations are required for groups of 20 or more. Guided tours are available at no additional charge with two week’s advance notice.
• Group rates are based on a minimum of 20 paid tour members.
• Adults 18 & older – $7.00 each.
• Youth (6-18) – $4.00 each.
• One complimentary admission for every 20 paid guests.
• Entrance fee is due upon arrival. Payment may be made by check or credit card.
• Tour members receive a 10% discount in gift shop and plant sales.
• Allow 1 hour for visiting the Gardens as a self-guided tour, 1½ hours for a guided tour.
• Please have leader call within 15 minutes of arrival time so we can greet coach.
• Have group remain on board coach upon arrival so we can welcome group while leader purchases tickets.
• With advance reservations, The Elizabethan Gardens will open one hour early for groups.
• Please re-confirm your reservation two weeks prior to your arrival.
